Tea Shipments. Shanghai to Switzerland.

On behalf of our friends, Messrs. Chabrieres

Morel & Co., of Marseilles, we beg leave to request

you to permit the transit to Switzerland of certain

teas which have been shipped to Marseilles from Shang-

hai.

The circumstances attending the shipments are

set out in a letter from Messrs. Chabrieres Morel & Co,

to ourselves dated 16th. instant, and we accordingly

beg leave to submit for your information a copy of

the letter end of the enclosures referred to therein.

As the teas are on the way, we shall feel greatly

obliged by a reply as soon as it is possible for you

to deal with the matter.
